SCHAEFFLER TECHNOLOGIES GMBH & CO. KG, HERZOGENAURACH
During the next twelve months Dr. Rainer Woska (59), Senior Vice President “Production and Production Methods”, will gradually pass on his areas of responsibility to his designated successor Oliver Jung (48), thus concluding the medium-term succession process.
Dr. Woska had informed the company owners and the Executive Management Board early on about his personal plans concerning the termination of his career in 2011, so that it was possible to launch a medium-term succession plan. Oliver Jung, a graduate engineer and a recognized expert in the fields of production development and quality management with over twenty years of professional experience, was recruited as a potential successor to Dr. Woska. At present, Oliver Jung is a member of the Management Board of Schaeffler’s Industrial Division and will become Dr. Woska’s deputy on the Schaeffler Group’s Executive Management Board, in charge of “Production and Production Methods”.
Oliver Jung is married and a father of four. Following his studies in Mechanical Engineering at Karlsruhe University, he started his professional career at Robert Bosch GmbH in 1989 and was a Plant Manager in his last position there. In 1999, he moved to Schmitz Cargobull AG where he was a Member of the Executive Management Board from 2004 to 2007, responsible for “Production and Quality Management”.
Following the successful transfer of his areas of responsibility, Dr. Woska will retire according to plan in 2011 and take up a lectureship in taxonomy at the Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh University.
